Easter's going to be a “sweet” time in Italy. This is the result of an analysis conducted within the Artoni network.

Easter’s going to be a “sweet” time in Italy, if the thousands of parcels Artoni delivers around the country are anything to go by. Analysis conducted within the Artoni network confirms how Italians have a sweet tooth when it comes to traditional Easter delights, with chocolate Easter eggs heading the list. In 2013, Artoni delivered some 47,000 shipments of confectionery and chocolate throughout Italy and the increase for 2014 is expected to top 2%.
Chocolate consumption has doubled since 2000. On average, each Italian eats 4.3 kg. In short, chocolate products know no crisis and in 2014, worldwide sales will reach a record 7.3 million tons, a 2.1% increase compared to the +2% of 2013.
Artoni’s widespread network guarantees fast deliveries to thousands of retail outlets along the peninsula, the ideal place for purchasing confectionery and chocolate, especially at Easter.
